4. My Creative Tics

During my Intro to Creativity class, my friend offered me a piece of gum. I said "yes, of course" and proceeded to unwrap the piece of gum, put it in my mouth an chew it. I continue listening to the lesson and chewing fidgeting my arms every now and then. About five minutes later, I look down and I've folded the gum wrapper into an airplane. I don't know why I was surprised because this is something I always do but this made me begin to look more into other creative things that I do subconsciously. Thus came about the idea of "creative tics" - patent pending. Tic may not be the most accurate word but it embodies the idea of an involuntary movement that is repeated. The subconscious folding of the gum wrapper is an example of this. Another one of my "creative tics" is stars. If you let my mind wander with a pen in hand (only a pen, not a pencil) I WILL draw a star. Most recently, I've been into these textured stars. Another "creative tic...
