7. Junk journal

I've been wanting to try junk journaling for a while. For those who don't know. A junk journal is a handmade journal created by repurposing and gluing together various found materials like old magazines, newspapers, postcards, fabric scraps, and other ephemera, essentially using "junk" that would otherwise be thrown away to create a unique and personalized journal for writing, drawing, or recording memories.

I've wanted to get into the habit of consistent journaling and I find the idea of a junk journal much more feasible than consistent writing as I am a much more visual person. I decided to start off this junk journal adventure with a visual recount of my trip to Nashville.  Here's what it looked like

What's on the Page?

My visitor pass from the hospital I went to.
A receipt for a souvenir I bought for a friend
My hospital bracelet
Some crap pieces that I cut out from a paper bag that I got from the souvenir
Printed out photos from the  trip

Thoughts on junk journaling

For now I really like it, I think this might be the perfect medium for me in this stage of life because it is very easy and quick to do and it lets me keep remnants of all the cute things I find. I'm a very sentimental person and this the perfect way to do that without avoiding clutter.
