21. Things Currently Inspiring me

Image
It's been a while since I talked about the media I am consuming and things currently inspiring me. So here is a list of things i have been enjoying lately  My Seratonin Playlist   I watched a tiktok where a girl stated that she is always in a good mood because always listens to positive upbeat oldies. And while I can't commit to listening to one style of music. I did work on making a playlist of positive upbeat oldies to listen to on my morning commute to school everyday. I'm currently working on it as it is only 40 minutes long right now. The playlist goes from the Ronettes "Be my Baby" to Jack Johnson's "upside down"(I know this is not an oldie). Here is the link if you want to give it a listen.  Billy Joel and 70s California Summer Playlist On the same theme of music, my Billy Joel phase is back. There's just something about his classics such as "Zanzibar" that make me want to play an air guitar or "uptown girl" that have ...

20. My ring Stack

Image
Rings are pieces of jewelry that are extremely important and personal to me and a huge way I express my creativity and voice. They are the ways I get to express my creativity everyday without having to do too much thinking. So I thought I would take you through my ring stack 1. Lucky Charms Ring  I am not really a superstitious person, but theres something comforting about having good luck symbols with me everywhere I go.  2. Interlocking Ring This is my most recent addition to the collection. I have this tradition of buying sterling silver jewelry wherever I travel because it gives me great stories to tell and allows me to build a collection of good quality pieces in a sustainable and affordable way. This ring, I got exactly a week ago in Destin, Florida. It is one large ring made of several tiny ring so it can lay differently and is very fun to fidget with. 3. Dainty heart ring I got this at a store in Houston, I struggled with actually wearing it for a while because i...

19.Event poster design process.

Image
Here is my process designing a digital poster for an event for my organization. One of the main themes of the event is the red carpet. I wanted to embrace the classy vibe of this event by highlighting the red carpet, so I went to Pinterest to start looking for inspo and searching up gala posters. These were the posts that inspired the most.     The third flyer embodied the vibe I was going for the most but I wanted to put an African twist on it as it was for the African Students Association. I got to my favorite new tool- adobe firefly and spent hours (ok maybe an hour) generating an image using prompts such as - African woman silhouette with her hands on her hips wearing an african print headwrap and matching red dress that leads into a red carpet, no shadow -african womans back with her hands on her hips wearing an african print headwrap and matching red dress with gold embellishements that leads into a red carpet, no shadow Playing with words here and there and using ...

15. Photos I took In Destin- Pt 2

Image
This day was probably my favorite. We went to the harbor walk village and walked around popping in and out of different stores. Then we had dinner at one of the restaurants at the village with a view of the most beautiful sunset. Fun fact. I am a sunset enthusiast. I can't pass by a beautiful one without stopping to take a photo of one.

I am the self-proclaimed photography friend. On my spring break trip to D estin, we went on a nature walk on the beach. This was the highest point on the beach standing on the bench and being surrounded by trees with a view of the beach. Here are photos on my Sony ZV1 camera to commemorate it.

12.Movie Showcard

Image
Here is a showcard I made for my typography class. The task was to come up with  a movie plot using a  random movie generator. Here is my movie plot and the showcard for it. Synopsis: Lily Hartman, a devoted birdkeeper at the local aviary, has always preferred the company of her feathered friends over the unpredictability of romance. With a small-town festival approaching, she’s tasked with organizing a special lovebird exhibit, showcasing the theme of lifelong companionship. Enter Noah Carter, the charming yet mysterious new neighbor who just moved in next door. A travel photographer with a restless spirit, Noah is only in town temporarily—at least, that’s what he keeps telling himself. But when an unexpected mishap causes one of Lily’s prized lovebirds to escape into his backyard, their worlds collide in a whirlwind of laughter, misunderstandings, and undeniable chemistry. As they team up to find the missing bird, Noah starts to see the beauty in staying still, and Lily disc...
